Neither of them made mine sweeter. The thing that made this day sweeter is
- I have beloved people who don’t fail to get me a delicious chocolate cake even after a long work day.
- I have very best friends who always love to call me even at 12A.M midnight without sleep to wish me a happy birthday.
- I have lovable parents who still think I am a very small kid for them especially on this day.
- I have caring relationships & friends who make my face book wall flooded with the birthday wishes.
- I have beloved friends who never fail to wish me even if they are in different time zone. The difference in time zone doesn’t bring much difference in our friendship and the love and care they have in me.
- A surprise call for a birthday wish from a special person, with whom I almost left contact many months back.
These are the things that made my birthday special and sweeter.
I can still remember the school days, many years back on this same day when I walk inside the class wearing new outfits with a bunch of sweets, everyone in the class rise and clap to sing a happy birthday song to wish me. Every one of my class mates shows a special care to me on this day just for the sweets I gave them.
Then in my college days, some years back on this same day, I still remember the midnight birthday celebrations we have in hostel rooms. We definitely buy cake not to eat but to play with it. Everyone will have almost everything to throw on me that include eggs, tomato and almost anything they get in hand. The happiest moments will last more than an hour or two. Then everyone forces me to give them a treat even though they know I don’t have enough money for all their needs. Believe me the money I spend them for the treat will not worth more than 100 bugs, but the happiness and satisfaction we get worth a million.
And now as a corporate employee, Birthday celebrations become bit different. It had become professional. Years pass by like the pages of book right in front of my eyes. I can notice difference in the way birthday is being celebrated. But I can’t find much difference in the love and care of the beloved people around me.
Although this day reminds me that I lost almost an entire year in my life span, this day still remain sweeter and very special to me. Everything that was bugging me in the past days melted like the mist in sun.

An eye witness account from New York City , on a cold day in December, some years ago: A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering With cold.
A lady approached the young boy and said, 'My, but you're in such deep thought staring in that window!'
'I was asking God to give me a pair of Shoes,'was the boy's reply.
The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel. He quickly brought them to her.
She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel.
By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks... Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes..
She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him... She patted him on the head and said, 'No doubt, you will be more comfortable now.'
As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears in his eyes, asked her.
'Are you God's wife?'

Why Samsung Galaxy Tab?
We are now moving to an era of smart phone revolution. Things that seemed to be impossible some years back are brought into reality through smartphones & essentially with Google's Android operating system.

The one stop solution i use is Google Maps on my Samsung galaxy smart phone. The smartphone has an inbuilt GPS tracking system, that detects my location in accuracy range of 3-5 meters. Just I click on my location and search "What's nearby" I get complete details about nearby restaurants, ATM, Hotels etc.
Now i got the information, How do i get in there? The way is one click away. I just click "Get directions". The Google maps provides turn by turn navigation. There will be a blue arrow that moves along with me, until i reach my destination. This application "Google Maps" in my Samsung smart phone is the most useful application i ever used. Here is how it looks like
Now imagine yourself that you come across a name board or road sign board that you don't understand or that is in different language? How do you interpret it? Probably you'll find a person to read it right?
You don't need another person's help if you own a Samsung galaxy tab. There is an application called "Google Goggles". Just take a picture of the sign board or the name board, You'll get the information in seconds. If that is a name board, the content there will be automatically translated in English and your browser will be automatically redirects to relevant website or relevant information. For ex. if you took a picture of a restaurant's name board, You will automatically redirected to the restaurant's website. Here is how it looks like

She is Beautiful
For most of the girls, beauty defines and personifies an elegant face, chiseled features, sharp nose, a curvy smile, batty eyelashes and lustrous hairs. It is right to say that the inner appearance and the outer appearance that complement each other is the most beautiful pair in the world.

But there is more to life and its beauty …
Rationally being burnt is the last way anyone will consider to end his or her life, even the small light brown mark on your right face where your mother immediately applies Burnolcauses you to weep and worry about dimming prospects of marriage and career. Many a times we see on road a woman or a girl who becomes the object of our glares, our blinks, our frowns and our tears and by doing so we think that we have done our duty for someone who is unlike us. For someone whose face and body have been burnt badly beauty can have little or no meaning. To live with it for the rest of their lives becomes a bane or a life that we sitting in our house and thinking about a beautiful tomorrow cannot even imagine. But Saira has proved this wrong, for me beauty is she.
Before I write anything further on this I would like to mention that I haven’t met Saira and haven’t even talked to her, all I know about her is from her story which I came across several times while I was searching for some Burn Victims documentaries for a recent awareness campaign in our locality.
Saira, was burnt callously by her fiancé, when she wanted to complete her education before moving in with him. Saira lost all her hope in life and was left with a marked face and partial vision.

But who you see today is not the Saira, who was shattered by the atrocities of her own life partner who had beseeched her. Nor is she the one who sits at home to shy away from the eyes of relatives and neighbors smirking at her face. She joined a beauty salon and started her training and work there. Covered with mirrors all around, the confidence and inner power one need to face the world and help others look beautiful is not what can be put into words.

There are many Sairas, whom we do not know, who have faced the wrath of the society and their dear ones and still have risen strong showing us what beauty really means.
The will power and the strength to fight against all odds, the unlimited courage to change your life, the effort to glow outside keeping your inner self pure - is what defines a beauty for me. Women are god’s most beautiful creation.

Crime is Same
A worried woman went to her Doctor and said :
'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help!
My baby is not even 1 yr. old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together.'
So the doctor said: 'Ok, and what do you want me to do?'
She said: 'I want you to perform an abortion, and I'm counting on your help with this.'
The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady:
'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.'
She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.
Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take care of
2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could
rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it
doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.
The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child!
'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be ok with it, so I thought
maybe that was the best solution. The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.
He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that's already been born and one that's still in the womb. The crime is the same!

The husband calmly replied, 'I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving.'
Suddenly, her husband burst into the kitchen.

Club 99 - The True Fact
Once upon a time, there lived a King who, despite his luxurious lifestyle, was neither happy nor content.
One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he worked. This fascinated the King; why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the Land, unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy.
The King asked the servant, 'Why are you so happy?'
The man replied, 'Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my family and I don't need too much - just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies.'
The king was not satisfied with that reply. Later in the day, he sought the advice of his most trusted advisor. After hearing the King's woes and the servant's story, the advisor said, 'Your Majesty, I believe that the servant Has not been made part of The 99 Club.'
'The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?' the King inquired.
The advisor replied, 'Your Majesty, to truly know what The 99 Club is, place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep.'
When the servant saw the bag, he took it into his house. When he opened the bag, he let out a great shout of joy... So many gold coins!
He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced that there were 99 coins. He wondered, 'What could've happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!'
